Meet the Doctor:
Dr. Ben Kang is a unique kind of dentist. With his kid-oriented style and fun personality, he gets children excited about their dental care, helping them develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Dr. Ben Kang is a product of our local portland public school system. Dr. Kang graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Biology which led him to Oregon Health Sciences University. While earning his Doctorate degree at OHSU, Dr.Kang learned that he really enjoyed working with children and children really enjoyed having Dr. Ben as their dentist. This led him to complete a pediatric dental residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, earning not only certificate of specialist in pediatric dentistry, but also receiving a Masters degree in Oral Sciences where his thesis focused on dental prevention. For his excellent work with children during his residency, Dr. Kang was named the Chief pediatric dental resident at UIC. After returning from chicago, Dr. Kang has been working with children in Tualatin and surrounding area.
Dr. Kang is married and has two lovely children of his own. Dr. Kang is an active memeber of the AAPD, ADA, OAPD, ODA, and WCDS.
Dr. Ben Kang has been named "Top Dentists" in pediatric dentistry in Portland and surrounding areas by Portland Monthly Megazine for 3 consecutive years (2007, 2008, 2009).
Having 2 young children of my own, I ask myself the question "what would I do if he or she was my child?" And that's the philosophy I try to emphasize to my staff and the way I practice dentistry.
